Safeguarding and Child Safety – Manly Savers Rugby Club

At Manly Savers Rugby Club, the safety and wellbeing of all players, particularly children and young people, is our highest priority.

We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and positive environment where all participants can enjoy rugby free from harm, abuse or inappropriate behaviour.

Our Commitment

We uphold Rugby Australia safeguarding and member protection standards by:

• Ensuring all coaches, managers and volunteers working with juniors hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Maintaining clear codes of conduct for players, coaches, volunteers and parents
• Promoting a culture of respect, inclusion and accountability across the club
• Taking all concerns and complaints seriously and acting on them promptly

Code of Conduct

All members of Manly Savers Rugby Club are expected to:

• Treat all players, officials and spectators with respect
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for young people
• Maintain appropriate boundaries at all times
• Act in the best interests of the team and the club

Breaches of the Code of Conduct will be addressed in line with Rugby Australia policies.

Reporting a Concern

If you have any concerns regarding the safety or wellbeing of a player, or behaviour that does not align with our standards, report it immediately.

All reports are treated seriously and confidentially in line with Rugby Australia safeguarding procedures.
